Fashion & Autumn – 3 Things You Need to Know

Autumn is my favorite season of the year, it’s not too cold and it’s not too hot, perfect for those indoor movie days with a hot cup of cocoa.
As we leave behind summer and transition into winter we need to update our wardrobe’s too. Out with the bikini’s and in with the trench coats!

Here’s 3 things you need to know about fashion this Autumn.

3: Trench Coats and how to wear them

Trench coats belong in everyone’s wardrobe, man or woman you should have at least one. Whether you’re going for a casual or formal look you’re always in safe hands with a trench coat.

Ladies – keep your eye out for a double-breasted medium length trench coat that has a belt. Neutral colored trench coats tend to work well with anything.
Pair a camel trench coat with some faded blue jeans, a white shirt, heels and a handbag and you’re set to go!

Gents – again going for the double-breasted trench coats either medium or full length, neutral or darker colors work well for men. Dress it up by throwing on a trench coat over your suit on those cold days or dress it down with some black ripped jeans, white shirt and camel trench coat.

2: Puffer Jackets are a thing

Yep, that’s right! The puffer jacket we all owned in high school is back and bigger than ever. Look for oversized styles in quirky colors this Autumn. Extra points if you grab one with a metallic finish.

Puffer Jackets are uni-sex and can go with just about anything, let your fashion mind run wild!

1: Scarfs are for men too!

Men, forget what you think about scarfs. For years most men have shied away from wearing scarfs but for what reason? Scarfs have been gender stereotyped, when someone say’s something about a scarf majority of us will think straight to a woman wearing a scarf.

Well, I have news for you (I mean, most of you already know this), scarfs are for men too! Whether you’re after a simple cotton scarf to go with your suit or a knitted scarf to keep warm during the colder days of Autumn there’s something out there for every man!

    1. I would definitely say to look for a short length trench coat, it should reach to just above the hips. Keep in mind if you are short with broad hips a trench coat will make you look curvier, if that’s something you want to avoid then I would go for a mid length coat.
